A brand new interactive website dedicated to the project has been launched providing information about the new station design and a variety of concept images.
Users will be able to browse the designs and leave their comments directly on the website for the project team to view.
In addition, three virtual webinars will be held which will include a presentation of the station design followed by a Q&A session.
Forming part of the Solihull Town Centre Masterplan, the redesigned station will be set around an enlarged new internal public concourse and feature sustainability at the heart of its design.

Working with the founders, Sen Elder and Emma McKinney, from the outset of their crowdfunding drive, for Public House we designed the transformation of an unused shop space into a new space with co-working, a library & an artistic programme of events and talks.
We designed constructs and moveable furniture for the space that will enable a multi-functional working zones that can be taken with us to future homes.
Timber battens were used to create shelving and display, with polycarbonate back to a welcoming arrival frame to divide front library from rear co-working spaces.

IA have recently designed and completed the built-in joinery and refurbishment of a studio apartment in the Barbican, in London.
Working closely with the client, a royal ballet soloist, we injected movement within the space with a changeable joinery solution to maximise storage and create alternate uses and zones within a compact floor area.
We were keen to approach this project with a minimal aesthetic to amplify the brutalist architecture within this context of the Barbican estate.
Facing the living area, a moveable library shelf with a worktop for plants, and bench seats, can be added to with a table top (stored away by hanging on the wall) with fold out legs; to create a dining area.

We would like to share with you our recently completed project in Birmingham, a rear extension to a Victorian semi-detached house, with internal reconfigurations and bespoke designed joinery and new finishes throughout.
Inspiration for the rear extension has stemmed from its context, a garden of mature timbers and greenery.
The pitched roof mirrors existing roof pitches, a simple form enhancing the shaping of the existing site, within this conservation area.
As a key feature to the exterior, the charred black timber clad provides a unique and hardwearing character to the form, with black aluminium crittal windows, a black zinc roof, and flat profile frameless rooflights, shaping the natural light entering the new and renewed spaces.

Intervention Architecture have worked closely with Grand Union on the design of the exhibition structures for this programme.
Within the gallery space, we have designed and built as our collective, proposed distinct zones for adaptation 1. sight/projection viewing, 2. taste/ a mobile kitchen, 3. touch/ production print making tables.
The zones are used for alternate uses: a dinner, a learning space, a talking space, a working space.
The plywood, dry jointed cnc modular structure can be stacked, formatted as seating, display, in multiple configurations, facilitating spatial experiments within the gallery layout.
