Johnstone Godfrey & Associates was formed in 1990. We are architects, based in Knutsford, Cheshire, in the north west of England. We offer all architectural services from creative project inception, through Planning and Building Control approvals to contractor selection and monitoring of the construction phase on site. Our specialist experience includes work on office, shops, industrial, restaurant, public buildings and private sector houses.

Johnstone Godfrey was born in Cheshire, educated at Shrewsbury School, Cambridge and The Architectural Association ( London ). He has been practising in partnerships and as a sole principal since 1975 in Chester, London, Liverpool and since 1990 in Knutsford, Cheshire.

The whole structure was racked out of vertical after many years of inadequate bracing.
The roof structure central section, substantially made up from as grown timber was supported in place while the structure below was rebuilt to as near line and level as could be achieved whilst discretely inserting the additional stiffening members required.
The building now provides much needed space for works department and storage and has an assured future.
