Services
Due to its ts unique appearance and its resistance to corrosion and extreme heat and light; vitreous enamel's popularity is growing.
Its use is widespread and is seen on signage / wayfinding map panels, domestic range cookers, architectural cladding and flue pipes.
It is also used on a number of bespoke applications.
Trico is considered to be one of the key European suppliers of Vitreous Enamel products and has been supplying worldwide since the 1890s.
Trico benefits from being self-sufficient with in-house facilities.
Founded in Keighley in the 1890's, Trico is an acronym for 'The Rustless Iron Company'.
The sole purpose of the company being the vitreous enamelling of metal products and components for what was then a significant Northern based metal working industry.
Before the advent of plastics in the 1950s the company prospered with the ability to enamel anything from a bath to a cap badge.
The widespread use of plastics as an alternative use for bowls, sinks, mugs and other household items, together with the decline of the UK manufacturing base, has meant a reduction and rationalisation of the enamelling industry with Trico not being immune.
When it comes to selecting the type of Cladding to apply to the exterior of Commercial & Residential buildings, there are many reasons why Vitreous Enamel should be considered.
The first consideration should be that of safety, Vitreous Enamel panels are non-combustible.
They offer durability beyond any other cladding type.
Trico VE Ltd produced over thirteen-hundred VE panels for internal staircase balustrade cladding for Bloomberg's European Headquarters, London.
Trico VE is always ready to assist with and advise on unusual, one-off and sometimes, complex projects and public art - with modern photo image enamelling techniques in black & white or colour.
