Nucleus Design Studio is an emerging architectural design-led practice based across London and the Home Counties. We have over 15 years' extensive experience in all forms of architecture including: new build; renovations; listed buildings; extensions, high-end residential; large-scale housing and commercial schemes. It is our belief that the client's vision and our passion for realising projects form the creation of a design where the building is central - in essence, the building becomes the nucleus of the design.
We believe that a building is a living thing and that it will constantly evolve throughout its life cycle and it is this belief that we uphold when designing. Our goal is to make sure that our designs meet all our clients' needs not just in the present but also take into account future needs.

After spending 15 years working across various private practices, Richard decided to take the plunge and set up his own architecture and design company.

Being at one of the highest points in London, with amazing views over Barnet and West London, we decided to locate the master suite in the roof space.
Not only does this make use of the amazing view, but also allows us to achieve over 3 meters head height and with the sloping walls give the interiors a gothic-like feel.
We have been asked by the client to breathe new life into this home, by re-arranging the layout to adapt to more modern living, including allowing them both to continue to work from home, whilst incorporating disabled access and accommodation for a member of the family to come and stay with them.

We were part of a team which designed, and built this mixed use facility.
The mixed use facility houses a bus station at ground level, with a spacious 900m2 office space above.
The three floors above consist of residential accommodation.
The scheme also included a tourism center, which was also built and designed by us.
