Typically our projects involve extending or remodelling existing homes but we've also completed a number of new build homes, listed buildings and traditional and contemporary barn conversions.
We offer a full architectural service guiding our clients through the entire pre-build process: from feasibility, sketch designs, obtaining necessary consents and approvals to preparing detailed architectural plans for accurate pricing from building contractors.We often fully manage the construction phase right through to completion, handover and making good defects ensuring a smooth and orderly project from start to finish.

KD Design started life in 2009, and was set up by myself, Keith Durham, as a sole practice.
I trained as an Architectural Technician, specialising in the science of architecture, building design and construction.
My Architectural background has lead to a passion for good design and strong attention to detail.
I have expert knowledge in a variety of areas including sustainable design, structural design and building regulations.

In order to get a feel for your requirements and fully understand the project, it is important to visit site and discuss the scheme face to face where possible.
During this meeting I'm happy to give informal advice on whether or not planning approval is required & the chances of success.
I'll also make you aware of any other approvals necessary and estimate the likely construction costs.
At the same I will prepare a fee proposal for the project and agree suitable timescales for moving forward.
Once appointed we'll agree a suitable time for carrying out a measured survey of the property to allow drawings as existing to be prepared.
