Tymor Marine
Tymor Marine is a maritime technology & naval architecture consultancy with offices in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Lafayette. We deliver fit-for-purpose, reliable and agile solutions to a range of vessel operators, asset owners, project planners and seafarers in marine, renewables, defence and offshore industries around the world.

Our unique stability measuring technology, MOSIS, promotes the ongoing monitoring and tracking of a floating vessel's vertical centre of gravity in service, unlike the occasional traditional inclining experiment. Our maritime technology looks to eliminate the seemingly ever-present uncertainty around a vessel's stability while improving onboard safety and without impacting operations.

Supporting our technology, we deliver a range of consultancy and engineering services such as vessel stability surveys, upgrades, modifications and sea-fastening of cargo and equipment, subsea deployment analysis, mooring analysis and offshore equipment design and modification. Kevin set up the business in 2012 to provide practical naval architecture and marine solutions to the global shipping and energy sectors.
Services
Tymor's MOSIS (Measurement of Stability in Service) is a unique onboard system which monitors the stability of your vessel during operation.
In many regions, MOSIS is an industry approved 'in-service' method of compliance with statutory regulations.
It has the significant advantage of removing non-productive, costly downtime associated with inshore inclining tests.
Instead, the technology conducts tests and gathers data while the vessel is in operation, keeping you moving forward safely, efficiently and productively.
DeadW8.net is a secure database with the ability to track deadweight data, and is part of Tymor's Integrated Stability Management philosophy.
It gives the user the ability to identify deadweight inaccuracies, recognise the areas most sensitive to change, and analyse and interpret the data.
It features an encrypted login using two factor authentication, a client-driven dashboard and comes with full support of Tymor's technical team.
Traditional deadweight audits generally occur every five years.
Our naval architects have in-depth experience of modifying and upgrading existing vessels.
From main engine replacement to installation of deck equipment, we cover all areas.
What gives us an edge is that we are more than office-based engineers, we are experienced master mariners, chief engineer officers and project engineers with a true understanding of how floating vessels operate.
Seafastening design is often the least exciting part a project.
Carried out properly, utilising our broad experience, it can reduce cost and increase the efficiency of the mobilisation.
We support all aspects of vessel operation.
From operational surveys such as OVID through to mooring analysis, we provide independent assurance for your vessel.
We specialise in vessel stability; our strengths lie in problem solving, stability management, traditional inclining, and deadweight audits.
From naval patrol vessels to passenger ferries, we have valuable experience in vessel life extension programs.
Starting with a vessel survey, providing technical specifications for tender documents, liaising with equipment manufacturers, completing the detailed design and finally onsite support during works, we understand the complexities of extending the life of your vessel.
