Our clients, property developers, asked us to convert and extend the former gardeners workshop into a self-contained dwelling.
They requested an innovative design that reflected the building's Victorian horticultural past.
The existing building was split level with the western end being two storeys, although the lower floor was really a basement with high level windows.
This enabled us to propose a low profile extension that was constructed as a basement servied by a large light well with an external staircase from the garden.
