Sidey Design Architecture is a CIAT registered practice based in the market town of Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire. We are a company that values good design and solutions that work. We are approachable and offer all aspects of architectural design, ranging from residential housing schemes, individually designed homes, extension and renovations, listed and heritage projects, schools and retail units just to mention a few.
Jon Sidey started the practice in 1991 and has gone on to build a great team and a reputation to provide designs and solutions that encompass our clients brief. The ethos of the company is to offer value to the client whilst offering a full design service incorporating modern construction techniques. This homely cottage went though an extensive re-model and contemporisation project which lasted roughly 3 months.
The new build was initially designed to allow more light to enter the property through velux windows and a new lantern roof, modernising the interior and creating a bright new lease of life.

From your initial contact with us we will either undertake a 'Phone' consultation or arrange a site visit to discuss your proposals and project feasibility.
Typically this would take between 1 - 1.5 hours.
After initial consultation and agreement of Sidey Design costs/terms we will undertake a measured survey of your existing building which will then be drawn up in AutoCAD as the base of your proposals.
Following input of the existing survey we will proceed to draw up basic plans & elevations of your proposals.

We believe that the inside of a house is just as important as the outside.
As such we offer a wide range of gifts and products from our Arts, Gifts and Interiors section of our shop In our office, we have a small but mighty Design Shop with a collection of ornaments, vases, paintings and many other home decorations to breathe life into any home environment.
In our shop we have products and decorations ranging between 1 and 250, with frequently changing stock including pieces from Sue Howells, Derek Middleton and Anna Wright, and also local artists Ron Cooke & Terry Bird.

We are looking for an Architectural Technologist/Technician to join our small but busy and friendly practice in the heart of Higham Ferrers, Northants.
We primarily work on residential schemes from extensions and new build dwellings through to small scale housing developments and commercial projects.
This position is perfect for somebody who works well in a team and likes the challenges that being part of a busy office brings.
We would expect the applicant to also be comfortable liaising with clients and contractors on a daily basis.
