PEEK Architecture + Design is a vibrant, design focused, architecture and interior design practice, founded by chartered Architect and Bartlett graduate, Georgina Turvey in 2006, along with associate Neal Newland. The practice has continued to develop predominantly through referrals, many who are now long-term clients. We enable our clients to create exceptional and uplifting spaces, but with our feet firmly on the ground.
Our formula is simple: Inspirational and creative work with 100% transparency for our clients. PEEK is based in Central London, and maintains a varied client base, from families and homeowners to developers. Projects include homes, developments and commercial properties, ranging from large city houses and apartments, to extensions, basements, roof conversions, refurbishments and interiors.
Clear procedures and effective communication is fundamental to achieving optimum design potential, taking a project through from initial sketches and permissions, to costing, construction detailing and interior fit out.

Services
Meet with prospective clients to discuss requirements and a general brief without charge after which a fee proposal is provided for their review.
Once appointed we clarify the brief in more detail, listening to the clients' requirements and expectations and providing sketches and images.
A full set of proposal drawings will be produced ready to be reviewed with the client at a meeting, after which a final set of proposal drawings will be compiled.
These will be used for planning and listed building applications and by engineers and party wall surveyors.

A picture window is surrounded by a thick frame, which creates a window seat and a cover from the rain when open.
The timber of the island is sourced from a local reclamation emporium and is made from upcycled old lab desks.
Even the old gas tap holes are left to retain its story.

Planning was obtained to convert the roof with a full width dormer and to install a single storey rear extension.
The client wanted to retain the original character, so the existing small out-house building was retained and built around, complete with a frameless glass box above, joining the new and old.
Floors were also excavated to the rear of the property to create a generous floor to ceiling height.
