Services
We aim to give you what you need, but also to bring something to the table, ideas and alternatives, to enhance and improve your own thought, but also to delight and surprise you with designs that may never have occurred to you.
We provide the traditional architects role from inception to completion.
Listening to your needs and developing the brief, through designing your building and obtaining Local Authority Approvals, to procuring the works from a contractor and monitoring and administering the contract itself, and of course certifying the completion and providing warranties if required.
Extensions vary incredibly, both in terms of size and complexity, but also in terms of design intent - whether to be quiet and low profile, blending in with the original building - or to be more bold and modern creating a contrast with the original fabric.
All of the following were procured using our drawings only service where the client found their own builders.
A new bedroom above an extended kitchen with a single storey lean to extension to the family room.
The quality of light and feeling of space is tremendous.
A very modern open plan interior housed within a traditional form with a contemporary twist.
Currently on site now and scheduled for completion in the Summer 2009, call back every few weeks to view progress.
A very difficult planning application for what will become the last building plot in this very desirable Derbyshire village.
We overcame a barrage of local objections to obtain an approval through a great deal of very positive negotiations with the Local Planning Authority.
A difficult site too, very steeply sloping, the house will appear as a bungalow on the rear, but a full two storeys at the front.
Initially intended as a speculative development, the two partners liked the houses so much they decided to keep them.
Only completed at the back end of 2008, this pair of houses are our first to be designed to meet Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes and include high levels of insulation, solar panels, rainwater harvesting and other measures too numerous to list here.
Approx project value approx 220k Sold on last year for almost three times this amount.
A good return on our 10% architectural fee!
A speculative industrial development for a local developer, designed to allow sub-division, it has been let to a single occupier.
Designed by our good friend Ernie Austin.
We were asked to prepare production drawings for this tyre and exhaust fitting centre for ETS tyres.
We provided full service to procure this brand new building for a business that imports and distributes Japanese 4x4 car parts all over the UK.
Included flood prevention measures because of it's location within the flood plain of the Derwent.
