We were established in Lancaster to work with the then Lancashire Enterprises to redevelop the White Cross estate, a largely derelict 6.5 hectare Victorian mill complex. Under our guidance the site was refurbished to provide commercial and industrial facilities for businesses and new accommodation for Social Services.

One of the most prominent stone mills was converted into the White Cross Education Centre, housing the Adult College, Art College and District Education Office, and for which we received a coveted RIBA Regional Award.Since completing White Cross the Practice, under the present partnership of Nigel Atkinson and Robert Partington has involved itself in projects throughout the North West region.

Local projects include the RNLI Lifeboat Station in Morecambe. The two storey building accommodates the D-Class boat and all vital rescue equipment, changing facilities and showers for the Crew, and a retail souvenir outlet. We are presently working on a new building to house the RNLI Hovercraft near the stone jetty in Morecambe.
