2B Landscape Consultancy
Our friendly, talented, and attractive team offer professional consultancy in all aspects of Landscape Design, Landscape Assessment and 3D Visualisation, across the UK. 2B Landscape Consultancy Ltd is an LI Registered Practice of Chartered Landscape Architects, based in Yorkshire. Established in 1998, our wide variety of high quality projects ranges from large-scale LVIA to detail design, through masterplanning, sustainable drainage, community engagement, and everything in between.

For those who haven't come across Landscape Architecture before, think of it this way: as Architects are to buildings, so Landscape Architects are to the landscape or external environment. We work at all scales - domestic to regional. Our clients range from national and regional utility companies to highway and local authorities, industrial and commercial landowners, developers and community organisations.

We believe that everyone has a right to a beautiful, inspiring setting for their life: at home, at work or at play.
Services
2B Landscape Consultancy was formed in early 1998.
Our principal business object is not growth, but stability.
As well as the core team of talented and attractive staff, we work with numerous professional colleagues.
Depending on the project requirements, we can bring on board planners, architects, arborists, ecologists, environmental managers, engineers and other disciplines, to provide a complete range of design and environmental services for our clients.
We focus mainly on working locally and regionally whenever possible, for reasons of both sustainability and competitiveness, although we have worked on projects across the UK.
Bill has been a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute since 1988 and has a broad range of experience within both public and private sector.
Public sector work has included community landscapes, housing, and public open space design.
Private sector work has been for clients from local and government authorities, to private developers and utilities; including housing, retail developments, transport planning, transmission line routeing, reclamation, and landscape and environmental assessment.
2B has supported Amanda as a founding trustee of Slow The Flow, since its inception following the devastating floods of Boxing Day 2015 in the Calder Valley, which had a personal impact when her house in Mytholmroyd was flooded.
Slow The Flow is run by a passionate and dedicated group of volunteers, including experts in relevant fields.
It has quickly become a well known and respected body in the world of Natural Flood Management (NFM) and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).
Amanda has led Slow The Flow (STF)'s efforts to encourage SuDS projects in Calderdale, through education and engagement.
The solution brings together all of our landscape architectural training and experience: landscape-scale Catchment-based Natural Flood Management (NFM), implemented collaboratively in partnership with the key flood risk agencies, local/parish authorities and with local people.
Having supported our colleague Amanda in the establishment and development of Slow The Flow in Calderdale in 2016, it was natural that we should also adopt a similar name.
Why?
Because it says, in five words, what we intend to do and where we intend to do it.
There is a global climate and biodiversity emergency.
We have, at most, a decade to implement significant changes to prevent the risk of global catastrophic damage to our world.
Landscape Architects face the challenge of meeting the needs of our society whilst protecting the earth's climate and biodiversity.
We will work with clients throughout every stage of the design and planning process to create a constantly regenerating and self-sustaining system in balance with the natural world.
The research and technology already exist for us to make that transformation now.
