The old museum was relocated from its original site to its new ntemporary building situated right in the heart of this historic town.
The project commenced on site following the final granting of planning permission and Heritage Lottery funding.
The main building structure is formed from a "Next Generation" timber frame.
Fabricated off site, a series of structural insulated wall panels known as SIP's are delivered to site in pre formed sections that are simply pulled tightly together to form monolithic walls.
