Jon has over 20 years experience in architecture and has run his own business for many years. He specialises in residential projects that range in size from house extensions to custom designed new-build houses and residential developments. We're very familiar with a process that can seem daunting to many people so we try to make it as straightforward as possible.
Whether it's a simple extension or a complex new-build house, the first thing we do is find out what our clients want and need which aren't always the same things! Then we'll work together to come up with a practical solution that not only looks good but is functional and meets their budget requirements. We then obtain planning permission and building regulations approval and provide all the relevant technical and construction drawings.
We can also recommend local contractors to provide tender prices and help the process move as quickly and smoothly as possible. We pride ourselves on a friendly approach and offer a free, no obligation initial consultation.

3. Preparation of Production Drawings (also called technical drawings) that contain the construction information needed to submit a Building Regulations Application.

You only get a feel for this extension when you compare the photographs of before and after.
Prior to extending this was a simple bungalow with bedrooms in the roof space.
The extension created a larger master bedroom with dressing area over a new large dining room and entrance porch.
Using natural stone for the external walls creates the look of a completely different property.
After a lengthy process, Planning Approval was gained for this scheme in a sensitive Conservation Area.
Set within an old quarry the extension is built using stone salvaged from the quarry - it couldn't be more appropriate.

Our clients came to us facing enforcement action from the Local Authority having begun construction prior to discharging the conditions of their planning approval.
We spent the next 6 months developing their architect's drawings to no avail, and a further 4 months working on a revised scheme before a satisfactory design was approved.
Given the sloping nature of the site we, and the clients, are very pleased with the finished scheme.
The completed development boasts superb views over the local golf course and was definitely worth the wait.
