Tombs Lee Architect
I was elected to the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1978. I have worked mainly in private practice but also for Contractors and for a Local Authority and set up my own private practice 14 years ago. I became a RIBA Chartered Practise 10 years ago. A RIBA Chartered Practise ensures that practices have Professional Indemnity Insurance and will carry out Continuing Professional Development.

In my career I have worked on a wide variety of commercial and residential schemes. Commercial schemes include retail, schools, warehouses and offices. Residential includes social housing, sheltered housing and nursing homes as well as one off bungalows, houses and barn conversions for private Clients. This includes all forms of construction, new build, refurbishments and extensions and alterations.
Services
A wide variety of extensions and alterations, adaptions and new build, within Conservation Areas and Green Belt in and around Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.
I will be pleased to meet you and review any scheme and offer an initial consultation usually free of charge.
Early consultation is essential to avoid abortive work and costs.
If you have recently purchased an older property, I will be pleased to prepare a schedule of improvements.
In 2007 we purchased a rundown cottage in Cropwell Bishop on a challenging plot with a view to renovating and extending it.
Ultimately, we ended up demolishing it and building our own Grand Design as a result of very careful, knowledgeable and considered guidance from Lee, requiring upmost trust and confidence in him and his ability by us and our mortgage lender.
At the outset, we had no personal experience of planning or building, only what we had seen on TV, so we set about finding ourselves an architect to help guide us through the various processes involved.
