Unick Consulting Ltd is a multi-disciplinary practice of Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, Interior Designers and 3D Visualisers, based in Glasgow, Scotland. Jim Unick founded the practice at the end of 1976 and for the past 40 years we have been at the forefront of Cinema design. Since 1985 when the first Multiplex Cinemas were constructed in Britain, we have been responsible for the design and build of over 120 of the 320, or so, new cinemas in the UK.
We have also, refurbished, remodeled or rebranded over 100 other British Multiplex sites. Our major UK Exhibition Clients have included ABC, Odeon, UCI, MGM, Virgin, Warner Bros, Vue, Cineworld, and Empire.
In addition we are currently working with smaller independent circuits such as Curzon and have worked with Walmart in the USA to develop small digital multi-screen cinemas on a roll-out project to increase retail and merchandising sales, whilst at the same time creating a new market and audience for film, within their own stores.
