DO is a multi-disciplinary studio based in Glasgow, working with artists, light and the built environment. Adrian and Ian are Certified European Passive House Designers and can deliver both Domestic and Non-Domestic Passive House Buildings. In addition Adrian is a Section 6 (Energy) Certifiers for the Scottish Building Standards. Adrian is also a RIAS Conservation Accredited Architect and DO are an RIAS Accredited Practice.
We are fully committed to education in architecture through teaching at The Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow School of Art. We provide Design Studio Tutoring in the Undergraduate and Post-Graduate school and also deliver a taught lecture course in Architectural Technology (Principles of Building). We are a deliberately small practice, and enjoy working closely with clients to deliver projects ranging from tiny interventions, to large scale urban strategy and built form.
We love making buildings with and for other people. Adrian Stewart was awarded Young Architect of the Year 2002, at the Scottish Design Awards, and established DO as a limited company in 2005.
