Garnham Wright Associates are registered architects and interior design consultants and were founded by Jack Garnham Wright in 1973. The practice is now run by two partners and has a wealth of experience on a wide range of construction projects. Our main office is located near Shaftesbury, Dorset and we also maintain a London office in Covent Garden where the practice began.

From these offices we undertake projects in Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset, Cornwall, London and throughout the UK. We have also worked on a number of projects in Europe and are currently working for clients in Ireland and France. As chartered members of the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) we can provide all the normal services of an architect and manage your project from inception to building completion.

We are also happy to provide partial services to assist you with your project at any stage of the design and construction process. We place great emphasis on good design and careful planning to ensure the project is successfully tailored to your needs and we will work closely with you, with other consultants where appointed and with the builder to achieve the best possible results for you.

Garnham Wright Associates have a keen interest in architectural history, period features and the vernacular use of materials in traditional buildings.
We have worked on many different historic and listed buildings from medieval and gothic to Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian and it is always fascinating tracing the history of the buildings and the changes they have undergone through time.
It is often the case that buildings have been adapted and extended in different historical periods to suit the needs and preferences of the owners and we enjoy the challenge of respecting this historical context when designing alterations and adaptations for modern use.
