Our manifesto is an evolving set of principles that underpin James Dale Architects, these naturally develop as we continually push the practice through design, research and development.
We IMAGINE, DESIGN and MAKE contemporary solutions that respond to the complex demands of modern life.
We are of an entrepreneurial disposition, maximising economic, social and cultural assets.
We are of a collaborative disposition believing that more is achieved through cooperation rather than confrontation.
James Dale Architects provide a variety of services for clients, both commercial and domestic, large or small at all stages in the construction process and beyond.
Our experience encompasses working with new and existing buildings in both contemporary and historic contexts.
The RIBA sets out the key stages of a construction project from conception to completion in its Plan of Work.
This organises the process of managing, and designing building projects and administering building contracts into a number of key Work Stages.
James Dale Architects were appointed on The Mount Pleasant project, creating a contemporary living space for this traditional Victorian terrace house in Tottenham, north London.
The scheme has included an extensive renovation, refurbishment and a distinctive extension wrapped in golden copper cladding.
The home was in need of some updating, it had previously been extended but with very little overall planning and as such the inside space had become a series of compartmentalised rooms, which did not optimise the available space.
James Dale Architects were asked to assist the with the remodelling of this terrace home in Clacton Road, Walthamstow, east London.
The brief was to extend the ground floor to allow for greater living space, without losing too much of the garden.
The design adds a single storey side and rear extension, externally clad in timber with a plinth of fairfaced concrete block work.
Internally the client has embraced a simple, Scandi feel with crisp white walls, marine pine flooring, exposed beams, plywood finish walls, which create a light and bright interior.
James Dale Architects were appointed to undertake the design and reimagination of this terrace house in Walthamstow, London.
The architecture has played with shifting the priorities of the current home to make the layout work for the clients specific needs, the work included a rear extension and loft extension.
The house has been reimagined to maximise the privacy of the client.
The utility room has been situated at the very front of the house, with the kitchen placed just inside this, a winter garden is located at the very front of the home to give a physical and visual separation from the street.
