This short seminar will talk you through all the issues and processes that you will need to undergo.
We will explain the Involvent of the Local Authority and how we deal the applications for planning and Building Warrant.
We will go through the initial meeting with your consultant and what you should expect from them including fee levels.

You, the applicant, are required by law to ensure that an application is lodged for all building works that require a building warrant and they comply with the bulding regulations.
Your consultant will physically deal with the application however the legal onus is on you to ensure this is done.
The Building Warrant will deal with all technical matters concerning your extension.
A completion Certificate is issued by you at the end of the project and accepted by the Building Control Department, this signifies that the works have been carried out in accordance with the terms of the Building Warrant.

Born in Edinburgh in 1958, Bruce has raised his family whilst being self employed most of his working life.
He holds a diploma from the RICS of which he is a member and the CIOB of which he is a Fellow.
Bruce is also a member of the Association of project safety (APS).
Bruce is the current Chairman of the Federation of Small Businessess in West Lothian where he helps to promote and support Small Business in West Lothian.
He also Chairs the Board of local chartity WL Financial Inclusion Network FIN.
