Services
Munro Associates primarily worked across the disciplines of architecture and landscape.
Each may stand alone, but together they allowed a more comprehensive and integrated approach to design problems.
The Practice had particular skills in the preparation of unusual and innovative development proposals, primarily in the environmental, residential and leisure sectors; these skills extend to historic building refurbishment and providing landscaping of calibre.
The Practice prepared planning and feasibility studies which concisely appraised the opportunities, obstacles and costs of marginal and unconventional projects.

From the smallest extension to projects of urban design proportions, our approach is one where context is king: Acknowledging the physical and performance characteristics of a place informs the design process so that potential is maximised.
Only by analysing context can appropriate design solutions be developed, solutions which take into account the key client requirements of accommodation and budget.
From the outset of every project, we work to establish a careful analysis of context, use, spatial requirements and economics.

Munro Associates have worked on a number of commercial projects including factory units, offices and shops.
Our approach is always the same - we aim to create a unique piece of architecture that sits easily within and enhances its context; that fits the client's budget; and provides an environment wherein end users will enjoy working.

Branch refurbishment Rutherglen: An internal re-planning exercise to respond to increased business.
Part of a rolling programme of rebranding, the tight constraints of the unit, particularly in its width, necessitated thoughtful planning to ensure that firstly, disposition of elements such as payment counters avoided accentuating the inherent linearity of the unit and at the same time permitted customers to benefit from a more efficient queuing system.
Staff facilities were similarly upgraded.
