After qualifying as an Architect in 2006 I formed Matson Henderson Architects with Andrew Henderson. We worked with many fantastic clients improving and re-purposing some special buildings. Work included new-build homes, extensions & alterations to existing buildings with Listed status in Conservation Areas and several small-scale residential developments for house builders.
We designed high-quality hotels and restaurants, office fit-outs for blue chip clients as well as designing various community led projects. Following 10 years of successful practice I became Project Architect for Muirhouse Town-Centre Regeneration at a commercial firm in Edinburgh. I enjoyed this role greatly but missed the day to day workings of small business (and the chat with my boys on the morning trip to school!).
I'm a creative and strategic thinker and like to explore and share ideas. Please get in touch if you'd like to discuss anything building / design / community related that I may be able to add value to.
