Designed by Donato Bramante, this small round chapel is a masterpiece of the Renaissance period, combining intricate geometry and proportion. Tempietto Architects' team of dedicated and creative professionals share Bramante's dedication to the pursuit of architectural excellence. Tempietto Architects was established in 1998, to provide professional architectural services to developers, property owners and private individuals in South East England.

Since inception, much of the work of Tempietto has been in sensitive locations. The ability of the practice to produce modern and traditional design solutions that are suitable for their context are essential ingredients of its success and reputation for gaining planning consents. This has enabled the realisation of projects on challenging sites often with numerous planning and heritage constraints.

Tempietto's aim is to produce distinctive buildings by responding sensitively to the challenges of individual sites and the desires of our clients.
Services
TEMPIETTO consists of a team of creative professionals; innovative, visionary, yet pragmatic.
The team possesses a wide-range of experience and technical knowledge and is proficient in Computer Aided Design.
The practice has a vision, which is to deliver elegant design solutions for our clients that contribute positively to the built and natural environment.
This project was for a development of fifteen houses on an exceptionally steeply sloping site on the edge of Berkhamted.
Challenges included accommodation a future link road and overcoming ecological issues, which included the translocation of common lizards.
We secured planning permission for our proposals for the site and produced the construction drawings in collaboration with the appointed Structural Engineer.
We designed a new 9,000 sq ft house over three storeys in a traditional style to replace an existing smaller house, which was granted planning permission.
Works started on site in 2002 and completed in Spring 2003.
In 2004 the high quality of the design was Commended in The Mail National Home Builder Design Awards in the category of best house of three or more storeys.
The site is within Green Belt and the house had previously been extended beyond the policy limit.
The challenge was to achieve an extension to accommodate a kitchen / dining / living area and to maintain access to the borehole that provides the drinking water to the property.
By using Permitted Development rights we were able to achieve permission for an extension with sufficient floor area.
However, the design was constrained by Permitted Development rights that restrict the height of side extensions to 4m.
The project involved the extension and refurbishment of a 1960s house in Berkhamsted.
The site is steeply sloping and one of the key objectives was to form a better connection between the house and the rear garden and a more spacious kitchen / dining / living area.
A new master bedroom suite and re-organisation of the first floor accommodation was also part of the project.
A two-storey side extension accommodates a rebuilt garage and utility with master bedroom suite above.
From the street this is quite conventional in appearance but to the rear this morphs into a contemporary extension that steps down the hill and incorporates a family sitting area with woodburning stove.
