As lockdown restrictions are eased and we begin to dine out we look back at some of our recent restaurant projects:. Hilldrop Road: If you have to be stuck at home for a year then this is the place to do it. Delivered in the teeth of the pandemic Hilldrop Road is four stunning highly livable extended and refurbished flats, for the rental market, in a Victorian pair of villas in Islington.
Caledonian House: This is Method Architect's largest project to date; 93 new build mixed-tenure flats, built above an existing car par for sustainability issues, for contractor Jaysam with property developer Signia Living and Watford Community Housing Association. This sushi bar was a jewel of a project for Method Architects, sitting atop the former BBC Television Centre in West London.

Services
Method Architects was founded in 2010 with a vision to offer the services and design expertise of a large practice but with the nimbleness, personal attention and minimal overheads of a smaller organisation.
It is a smart, lean approach that has proved its worth.
Method's client list now extends from energetic private developers to some of London's most exciting restaurateurs and largest housing associations in London and the South East.
The practice regularly works with exacting hospitality operators such as The Langham Hotels Group, Caprice Holdings and InterContinental Hotels Group, and repeat business forms the majority of the project work.

Dominic has been leading architectural practices for more than ten years.
He set up Method Architects nine years ago with a remit to offer his knowledge and experience of complex developments in a client-focused environment.
Previously, as a senior director and board member of Pollard Thomas Edwards he was in charge of the design of some of London's biggest regeneration projects.
This included the masterplanning of new districts and entire city blocks as well as devising viable mixed-use and mixed tenure schemes for challenging inner-city sites, often at medium- to high-densities.

Method Architects is delighted to announce that the new bar, The Wigmore, has opened at The Langham Hotel London.

The recent planning consent gained for the re-development of the Holiday Inn hotel in Swindon continues Method Architects extraordinary success rate at winning planning approvals.
This is our largest hotel project to date and tops a long list of projects with advantageous planning permissions obtained since the practice was created.

Hilldrop Road extends four flats to the rear of a pair of existing four-storey Victorian villas in Camden.
Method Architects gained planning consent for a brick-built extension to flats on the upper ground and lower ground floors of this communal apartment block.
Caledonian House is a new development of 93 flats in the heart of Watford- just a stone's throw from the International Railway Station.
A great deal of re-design of the consented scheme, by Method Architects, was required: re-planning of 75% of the flats which did not comply with Approved Document B for means of escape, whilst still delivering exactly the same accommodation mix.

Planning permission has now been obtained, by the practice, for a new office building on land to the rear of a semi-detached former house and now office in Palmers Green, London.
Occupied for more than forty years by the client, a firm of chartered accountants, the existing premises are no longer suitable for the operation of the business and the proposal redevelops part of the rear garden land to provide a tailor-made fit-for-purpose modern office unit.
Method Architects worked with the client for some time investigating design possibilities to future-proof their business accommodation and achieving site access arrangements from a privately controlled roadway.
